This blog has been a long time coming, but the time I have to blog is still the same: minimal (that being a generous estimate). I'm busy. However, I've come to the realization that I am busy because I allow myself to be busy. In fact, I make myself busy. Through a conditioned response of feeling more accomplished, worthwhile, and validated, I busy myself all day with things that quite frankly aren't as important as I make them out to be. So much of my life and precious time with family, friends, and in solitude has been wasted! Inspired by this print, I dedicate this blog to slowing down and appreciating life as it passes--in real time.

Additionally, the title has a second meaning. Tea is one of my simple luxuries. I have had a love affair with tea for several years now. Unfortunately, along with the rest of my life, I have been rushing so quickly to the next task that I have become too busy to enjoy a quiet cup of tea each day. Through this process, I will hopefully regain enough time to reinstate a daily tea time, because 'tea is always a good idea.'
